The one-time employment rate of graduates has always been among the best among colleges and universities in the country, and the one-time employment rate of 2010 undergraduate graduates exceeded 99%.
In terms of discipline construction, it has formed a discipline layout that focuses on engineering, integrates science and engineering, and coordinates the development of multiple disciplines such as economics, management, literature, law, and education. There are 54 undergraduate majors, 35 first-level discipline master's programs, 27 first-level discipline doctoral programs, and 20 post-doctoral research stations. There are 7 first-level national key disciplines (covering 21 second-level disciplines), namely: optical engineering, instrument science and technology, materials science and engineering, architecture, water conservancy engineering, chemical engineering and technology, management science and engineering; In addition, there are 8 second-level national key disciplines, namely: fluid mechanics, mechanical design and theory, power machinery and engineering, power system and automation, microelectronics and solid-state electronics, communication and information systems, detection technology and automation Installation and structural engineering; 2 national key (cultivation) disciplines of secondary disciplines, namely: general mechanics and mechanics foundation, technical economy and management; 27 key disciplines in Tianjin. In the 2007-2009 subject evaluation results published by the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, Tianjin University has 6 subjects ranked among the top 3 in the country, and the number of subjects ranked first and the number of subjects ranked in the top 3 are both in the field of engineering. Ranked second in the country, among which chemical engineering and technology disciplines and instrument science and technology disciplines rank first in the country, optical engineering disciplines rank second in the country, and the three disciplines of architecture, water conservancy engineering, shipbuilding and marine engineering rank third in the country.
The school has strong scientific research strength, has always focused on major national strategic needs and focused on the frontiers of world scientific and technological development, and has achieved fruitful results. There are 4 national key laboratories, 1 national engineering laboratory, 1 national engineering technology research center, 2 national engineering research centers (including 1 participating construction), 2 national new technology promotion centers, and 1 national cultural relic key Scientific research bases, 66 provincial and ministerial key laboratories, engineering (technical) centers, major special sub-centers, humanities and social sciences key research bases and other scientific research bases (including 7 participating Tianjin engineering centers). There is 1 national innovation research group, 8 innovation teams of the Ministry of Education, and 1 national defense science and technology innovation team. Since the fifteenth year, 31 achievements have won national science and technology awards, 3 achievements have been selected as "Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances in Chinese Universities", and 352 achievements have won provincial and ministerial science and technology awards. Scientific research funding has achieved steady and sustained growth. In 2011, the total funding for science and technology was 1.505 billion yuan. In 2011, 25 large projects over 10 million yuan were signed, 277 projects were funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the total funding amount reached 132.67 million yuan, and 482 patents were authorized (including 420 inventions). In the 2010 scientific and technological paper statistics published in 2011, the number of papers included by SCIE, EI, and ISTP in our school were 1027, 1571, and 814 respectively. 235 SCI papers were selected as outstanding papers, and 1 paper was selected Rated as "China's Hundred Most Influential International Academic Papers". The science and technology industry of the school is booming. Tianjin University Science and Technology Park is one of the first 15 national university science and technology parks in my country.
In the 117 years since its establishment, Tianjin University has trained more than 200,000 high-level talents for the motherland and made indelible contributions to the establishment of my country's modern industrial system and the development of modern economic society. Revolutionary pioneer Zhang Tailei, economist Ma Yinchu, diplomats Wang Chonghui, Wang Zhengting, mathematician Qin Fen, famous poet Xu Zhimo and many other sages, as well as figures who have been active in various industries so far, such as "two bombs and one star" hero Wu Ziliang and Yao Shuren, Hong Kong industrialist Rong Zhijian and others have all read at night here; famous jurist Zhao Tianlin, bridge expert Mao Yisheng, mechanical scientist Liu Xianzhou, chemical expert Hou Debang, hydraulic scientist Zhang Hanying, physicist Zhang Guofan, educator Li Shusen, etc. Scholars have taught here. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 60 academicians of the "two academies" and more than 50 university presidents among the school's alumni. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the school has trained a large number of senior leaders and hundreds of heads and chief engineers of large national enterprises. Particularly eye-catching is that Tianjin University alumni successfully "joined together" in the construction of the venues for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games: Cui Kai (Chief Director of Olympic Projects of China Architectural Design and Research Institute), Li Xinggang (Chinese Design Host of the National Stadium-"Bird's Nest") More than ten leading figures such as Zhao Xiaojun (Chinese chief designer of the National Aquatics Center-"Water Cube") are all graduates of Tianjin University.
The school attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation. There are currently 1,801 international students from 89 countries and regions. Signed agreements with 139 universities, research institutes and companies in 31 countries and regions in the world. Two Confucius Institutes have been established overseas, namely the Confucius Institute in Bratislava, Slovakia and the Confucius Institute at the University of Queensland in Australia.
At the beginning of the century, the school formulated an overall development goal and a "three-step" development strategy for the new century: strive to build the school into a well-known high-level university at home and abroad, and build it into a comprehensive, research-oriented, and open-minded university in the middle of this century. A world-class university with a style and internationalization.
The company started to use two SRC-30SA (flow 4.07m³/min, pressure 0.8MPa, voltage 380V) air compressors from Shanghai Schneider sunshine in 2006, which are mainly used as the clean power source of the university’s laboratory.
